GSAS students based in STEM departments or programs who have passed their qualifying exams, are in good standing, and have registered for the 2022–2023 academic year are eligible to apply for this position.

The Fellowships & Writing Center (FWC) STEM Fellow works within the GSAS Fellowships & Writing Center. Duties include:

  • Critiquing student writing
  • Offering workshops and conducting outreach
  • Providing feedback during practice presentations


The FWC STEM fellow must commit to two academic terms. Workspace is provided in Cambridge, but the fellow must be willing to attend events on both the Cambridge and Longwood campuses. May also continue over summer term.

Compensation for the Academic Year

$6,000. Pro-rated stipend continued during summer, if applicable.
