Find Your Center: Recharge + Reconnect
Your summer game plan at Harvard Griffin GSAS!

Now that spring term has ended, Commencement has concluded, and warmer, longer days are here, students can look forward to the summer months as a time of relaxation and renewal. Here are some upcoming events and opportunities to learn, have fun, or connect with others.
Game On!
The Game Guild, a Harvard Griffin GSAS Student Group, will meet weekly this summer in Lehman Hall for both regular and special "heavy” game nights, the latter featuring more complex games of strategy and adventure. All are welcome, no board game experience needed! Find all their events on Engage.
Celebrate Pride
June is Pride Month, when we celebrate the members of our LGBTQ+ community. Learn about the history of Pride Month, of Boston Pride, and about events at Harvard Griffin GSAS and beyond. And be sure to save the date for the Pride Party on Tuesday, June 24, at Harvard’s Longwood campus!
Get Some International Chat
The Derek Bok Center for Teaching and Learning is offering a Discussion Group for International Students, running from June through early August. Students can join to connect with other international PhD students while practicing their English in a friendly, informal setting facilitated by undergraduate Culture and Communication Consultants. Students are welcome to join the discussion group at any time.
Habla Español
Join the Student Center Spanish Language Table this summer for their virtual, weekly gatherings. Participants can Zoom in for an hour of informal Spanish language practice with their fellow students. The table is a space for learning, so you’ll always have time to think, ask questions, and share your thoughts. As with any learning environment, mistakes are expected and serve as a welcome form of effort!
Level Up
Now that class is out, why not brush up on some old skills—or learn new ones? Several Harvard offices offer workshops.

Settle Down
Finally, summer is a great time for renewal and healing. You can find help and support in these groups, hosted by Harvard University Health Services:
- Recovery Support—Tuesdays at 6:00 p.m.
- Befriending the Inner Critic—Wednesdays at 6:00 p.m.
- Grieving & Coping Together—every other Tuesday at 3:00 p.m.
Whatever you do during the upcoming months, we hope you find moments of joy and connection. Between your studies, travels, and time with friends and family, we also hope you can soak up a little sun or revel in a patch of shade, catch a film, read a new book, try a new hobby, and do whatever feeds your soul during the break before another academic year.
As always, we invite you to check out the offerings for students on the Engage website. We invite you to stop by Lehman Hall, follow us on Instagram, and #FindYourCenter. Questions? Email the Student Center Squad!
