Digging up the Menu

Aurora Allshouse, a PhD candidate in the department of anthropology at Harvard, uses scientific methods to answer archaeological questions about the deep human past. In this video, Allshouse explains how, through stable isotope analysis of exhumed human remains, she reconstructs the diets of individuals who lived thousands of years ago to better understand the influence of culture on different dietary patterns in the Greek Bronze Age.
