All graduating students participating in the University-wide Commencement and/or the Harvard Griffin GSAS Diploma Awarding Ceremonies are required to wear the official Harvard regalia as approved by the Harvard University Commencement Office and distributed by Herff Jones.
Online ordering for regalia is expected to launch in January 2027. Please review the information below to prepare to place your order in the spring.
Ordering Guidance
- Dual Degree Recipients (MD/PhD, JD/PhD, MS/MBA): Select "Dual Degree" as your School to ensure you receive the appropriate gown.
- PhD Degree Recipients: Select "Harvard Griffin GSAS" as your School to ensure you receive the appropriate dark blue crow's feet on your regalia. This includes PhD candidates in Education, Business, Design, and SEAS.
- SEAS Master's Degree Recipients: Select "Harvard School of Engineering and Applied Sciences" as your School to ensure you receive the appropriate orange crow's feet on your regalia. All other Harvard Griffin GSAS master's degree candidates should select "Harvard Griffin GSAS" to receive the appropriate white crow's feet.
Important Dates

- April 9, 2027: Deadline to place regalia orders for pickup at the Harvard COOP.
- April 26, 2027: Deadline to place regalia orders for shipping to your mailing address.
- May 24, 2027: Pickup at the Harvard COOP begins.
- June 4, 2027: Deadline to return rented regalia.
