Xavier du Maine

As assistant director of equity, diversity, inclusion & belonging at Harvard Griffin GSAS, Xavier du Maine coordinates and oversees diversity recruitment and outreach efforts across the 13 life sciences PhD programs comprising Harvard Integrated Life Sciences (HILS). In addition, he serves as program coordinator for the Summer Honors Undergraduate Research Program, supports student affinity groups, and works on diversity training and education efforts. Originally from St. Louis, he earned his PhD in biological and biomedical sciences at Harvard (Harvard Griffin GSAS '22). While in graduate school, he served as the inaugural diversity, equity, and inclusion director for the Health Professions Recruitment and Exposure Program; a Diversity and Inclusion Fellow in the Office of Equity, Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging; and a DIB Fellow in the Harvard Office for Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging.
