As Program Officer for Title IX and Professional Conduct, Seth Avakian plays a dual role as a Title IX resource coordinator for GSAS students as well as for FAS faculty, postdocs, and all academic appointments. He is committed to addressing concerns of gender-based and sexual harassment within our community, as well as broader concerns regarding professional conduct. You may have concerns about events you were involved in or about an incident you observed or were told about involving another member of the community. Title IX resource coordinators receive information about allegations of unwelcome conduct of a sexual nature and gender-based harassment, provide interim measures, serve as resources for questions about sexual and gender-based harassment, including University policy and procedures, and provide information on the wide range of resources available to the community. Title IX resource coordinators respect and protect privacy to the greatest extent possible, sharing information only on a need-to-know basis, but are not confidential resources.
