Awais Kharal

AWAIS KHARAL, AM '98, is a managing director within Citi’s Investment Bank responsible for North America Consumer Products Banking. Awais has held various roles within the firm’s M&A and Consumer Investment Banking Groups over the past 25 years. He has extensive experience in advising clients in the consumer sector on mergers, acquisitions, public company defense, hostile takeovers, divestitures, leveraged buyouts, joint ventures, restructurings, IPOs, deSpacs, and capital structure decisions. Awais has worked on several landmark transactions in the consumer industry, totaling over $500 billion in transaction value. Awais holds a bachelor’s degree in computing from Imperial College London and a master’s degree in statistics from Harvard University. He served as a trustee for Friends of Aitchison College Lahore and is a member of the Harvard Graduate School of Arts and Sciences fundraising committee
