About Dudley House

Located in Lehman Hall, Dudley House serves as the center of student life for all master's and PhD students in the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences and for a small community of Harvard College undergraduates. In July 2019, Dudley House will transition to the GSAS Student Center for graduate students and the Dudley Community for undergraduates (Read an FAQ about the transition).

Dudley House offers social, intellectual, and recreational activities organized by the Dudley Fellows—graduate students dedicated to building community—that are designed to help GSAS students make connections outside the classroom, lab, or library. Attend an event, play in the orchestra, or join fellow students on outings to Boston and beyond!

Several GSAS offices are also based in Lehman Hall, including the Offices of Student Services, Residential Life, and the Dean for Student Affairs. The Center for Writing and Communicating Ideas supports graduate student writers at all stages of their careers.

Regardless of whether you participate in an activity or program, you can drop by at any time to eat a good meal at the Dudley Café or enjoy a cup of coffee in Café Gato Rojo, find a quiet place to read in the Dudley Library, or check out the the Dudley Game Room for ping pong, pool, and more ways to unwind.
