The Petey Greene Program (PGP) at GSAS supplements education in correctional facilities by serving as tutors and teaching assistants (TAs) to incarcerated students. Through tutoring and TAing, PGP at GSAS hopes to assist incarcerated students in achieving their academic goals and develop strong relationships between correctional facilities, universities, and communities. PGP at GSAS also seeks to form a community of individuals in GSAS committed to re-imagining the criminal justice system. The activities of PGP at GSAS focus primarily on volunteer tutoring and TAing, but also include raising awareness of the importance of education in correctional facilities and criminal justice reform.
