Harvard GSAS Latinx Student Association is an interdisciplinary organization committed to building community and providing intellectual and social support among students currently enrolled in graduate programs at Harvard University. The Association provides members a space to meet and discuss the graduate school experience. Topics to discuss include, for instance: how to pick an advisor; how to apply for grants; and how to commit to a dissertation topic. During the academic year, through our planned monthly social meetings, we anticipate our vibrant community will encourage building and sharing academic and professional resources. The Association also aims to provide support to Harvard Latinx undergraduates by supporting an engaged graduate student-undergraduate mentor program. Lastly, throughout the academic year, the organization will serve underprivileged Latinx communities in the greater Boston area by participating in local community engagement projects and events.
