The GSAS International Socialists regularly hosts meetings among GSAS students and members of the broader Harvard community on political issues and movements of today to discuss how we can build solidarity against oppression and exploitation and fight for a socialist future. It provides opportunities for GSAS students to educate themselves about the rich history of past struggles from below and the ideas of the Marxist tradition dedicated to achieving socialism, as well as to connect with the broader campus in order to provide a unique political perspective. This group serves as a space for GSAS students interested in socialism to learn, debate, and put knowledge into activism. It regularly hosts open-forum discussions, invites outside speakers (both academics and activists) to give talks, and organizes reading and writing groups.
