The GSAS Early Music Lab (GEMLab) is dedicated to the goal of providing occasions to sing and study Early Music (i.e. Medieval and Renaissance Music) in an interdisciplinary fashion for GSAS students, and the Harvard Community. The activities of the GEMLab include, but are not limited to: singing sessions privileging the early music repertoire, studying early music theory, notation, and musical text, sponsoring singing masterclasses in early music, sponsoring early music concerts’ tickets for members, organizing reading groups and inviting special guests to present their research on early music and related topics.
