About Dudley House

Dudley House has served as the center of student life at the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences for 25 years, offering social, intellectual, and recreational activities designed to help GSAS students make connections outside of the classroom, lab, or library. From its central location in Harvard Yard, Dudley welcomes students from all GSAS departments and disciplines. Social, intellectual, and recreational activities are organized by the Dudley Fellows—fellow graduate students dedicated to building community. Participate on an intramural athletic team, play in the orchestra, or join fellow students on outings to Boston and beyond!

Several GSAS offices are based in Dudley, including the Offices of Student Services, Residential Life, and the Dean for Student Affairs. The Center for Writing and Communicating Ideas supports graduate student writers at all stages of their careers.

And regardless of whether you participate in an activity or program, you can drop in at any time for a good meal at the Dudley Café or a cup of coffee in Café Gato Rojo, and the Dudley Library provides a quiet place to read while the Dudley Game Room offers ping pong, pool, and more ways to unwind.
