SEE-YAN LIN, MPA ’70, PhD ’77, economics, is research professor and pro-chancellor of Sunway University and pro-chancellor at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. He is a British chartered scientist and chartered statistician. He was chairman and CEO of the Pacific Bank Group from 1994 to 1997 and, prior to that, deputy governor of the Central Bank for 14 years. He is a member of the board of directors of Sunway University Malaysia, governor at the Asian Institute of Management (Manila), and a member of the board of directors of a number of publicly listed and private enterprises in Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia. Lin sits on a select high-level Committee at the Ministry of Higher Education to select vice-chancellors of public universities in Malaysia. He currently serves as president of the Harvard Club in Malaysia. He is a former chair of the Graduate School Alumni Association Council.
