Anthony Shannon received his PhD in classical archaeology from the Department of the Classics at Harvard University. His research focuses on citizenship performance in the urban landscapes of the ancient Mediterranean world. He has taught courses at Harvard and MIT in classics, comparative literature, English, history, and history of art and architecture, with extensive experience in interdisciplinary and writing-intensive courses. Drawing on his own experiences navigating the academic writing process, he thoroughly enjoys helping others on their path of research and discovery—indeed, self-discovery—as they develop and perform their own academic identity through their writing.
