This online small-group workshop series, further described below, will meet on Zoom twice a week, on Monday and Thursday afternoons, from 2:30 p.m. to 4:15 p.m., for three weeks (3/23, 3/26, 3/30, 4/2, 4/6, 4/9). Participants are encouraged, but not required, to commit to attending all six dates.  Register at the ARC website, email, or email the facilitator, Khaleem Ali (, to sign up for the remainder of the series.  Participants will receive an email shortly before each session with a link to the Zoom call.

Do you have the best intentions of working on academics in the afternoon, but do not seem to follow through? Set a three-week goal, then come join us on Zoom for a Monday and Thursday afternoon check-in and jump start to your project, be it finishing a grant application, writing a chapter, learning R, or _____ (you name it). In the opening 10-15 minutes of each session, participants will share their progress since the last session, and state objectives for the next 45 minutes. We will then work toward our goals for 45 minutes. Participants may stay on the Zoom call during this time, or call back in after, if they prefer. In the last 10-15 minutes of each session, participants will report their progress and their objectives until the next session. Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact facilitator Khalim Ali at
